IF they are self isolating from families, which is non-starter to begin with,
why can't the umpire call strikes? Why can't they sit in dugout? Why can't they have mound visits? So a first basemen can sit there and jabber with a runner but we can't have a mound visit.
This is all a sideshow. Would it be somewhat entertaining? Of course. But it's not baseball. It's like watching a gimmick All-star game without the fans or the All-stars.
Hard pass. What an asterisk this season will be.
Maybe I'm still in denial about this virus destroying all of 2020, but I don't see this as a reasonable option making players isolate from families.
