His boss is normally a very hands-off person that doesn't get in anyone's way unless they're not hitting their numbers or are causing other issues. He has really liked working for her.
But it seems like she's trying to keep busy or is missing their regular interaction because these Zoom meetings are literally everyone sitting in front of their laptops doing their jobs...and not really saying anything unless there's an immediate need. He says it's a pain and really awkward.
I think a lot of people in charge are worried about productivity, but stuff like this is taking it to an extreme IMO...
