Whenever the season starts. Anything else will be a logistical nightmare. I don’t think they’ll rearrange the conference schedule just so each conference can only play conference games, and cancel any non conference games. Do you really think, for example, USC - ND isn’t going to happen? These games are scheduled years, sometimes a decade in advance. I don’t think they’ll shuffle that all up.

I think they just move fwd with whatever is left on the schedule. Some teams may play 8 conference games some may play 6-7. But there’s too many ins and out to switch the entire CFB schedule just so the could maybe play 1 extra conference game.
