negative and to continue to self isolate for 3 days after symptoms end. Was pretty surprised to hear it was negative as I’ve never had chest issues like that and what I have/had is now going through my family as well. Chest tightness, and at some points felt very slight pains while deep breathing. Pulse oximeter read much lower than normal with o2 levels ranging from 92-96 over the weekend but back to 99-100 the last 36 hours. Was extremely fatigued, had a mild cough, muscle/joint pain, and headaches on and off the last 10ish days.
Feeling much better now. No chest pains, but still pretty tired just doing everyday tasks. Still mild cough but no headaches. Chest issues lasted about 3 full days. Never had a fever, although my dad did a few days before my symptoms started. He never had any chest pains though and is completely recovered from what he had. Concerned now that my mom has every symptom I did but luckily no fever either.
Weird. Kinda wish it came back positive since I’ve definitely had some respiratory issue and contracting covid could potentially be worse now, but I’m also thankful to not have had it (yet?) as we don’t know of any long term complications that could arise from it. I work in retail and have been a round hundreds of people hacking up their lungs the last 2 months. Maybe the theory of mass numbers of younger people (I’m 26) having it and not showing symptoms or few symptoms is wrong? Don’t know what to make of the whole thing.
Anyway, I’d encourage everyone in Utah with any of these symptoms to drive up and get tested. Was quick and easy. The nurses at the St George location were also very friendly and upbeat about the whole thing. Was extremely impressed with the whole process.
