Why did he get an extension before the season ended?

Its not like anyone was worried he was going to get scooped up into another program.

Tom Holmoe had a chance to get Ken Niumatalolo. He failed. He was a proven winner and seemed by all accounts a great leader. Yet he went with an unproven head coach.

Tom Holmoe has plenty of blame here.
