Meaning it was the cause of many flu deaths this year....

Do we appreciate there was zero social response about it until March? Do we appreciate that we did just fine in our society when we weren't social distancing and when we weren't staring at a COVID counter?

If this is true, then the facts of science didn't change. Rather our perception changed and caused society to act in a very strange way.
