The OP states that his wife’s part time income is not necessary for the household and yet there is a recommendation to file for unemployment funds.

I’m not suggesting that filing for unemployment is the wrong move, I don’t know nearly enough about unemployment and the other variables to have a qualified opinion on this one either way.

But that said, my wife along with many others don’t work. What would be the difference between my stay at home wife filing for unemployment and the original post wife filing for unemployment?

This is a genuine question. I’m not saying that pimpin and his wife shouldn’t be doing this. I’m just saying that considering the additional income is not needed per the post, why wouldn’t any stay at home wife file for this benefit for the duration it is allowed?

Is it just a judgement call? Like in this case, the argument being “well, the lady in this case actually had a job and is now not getting hours so....”

I’m just curious.
