Utah did project to have the #1 run defense in the country, and ended 6th.
So a game plan was made based on what they thought would work. Scrapping a game plan early in the season is not so simple.
I do think Tyson should have gotten more touches though. The rain and subsequent 36 hour long final drive that BYU gave up to Utah didn't help.

Wilson too often made the wrong read in the RPO, because too often he pulled it down and ran with it himself.
