my biggest concerns though are...
...lack of experienced depth at some of the skill positions specifically RB, WR and TE. I will miss the athleticism of WR's like Simon, Hifo, Shumway, etc but think we will do well with the experience of guys like Romney, Pau'u and Milne (I think Milne will have an Eric Drage kind of year) along with Bushman but behind those guys we're really young and inexperienced. A few injuries during the season and a lot could unravel on offense.

I hope DHC can give us a full season and that we can keep Katoa, McChesney, and Finau healthy. On paper I like our depth there but even when we've felt we had good depth in the past we've seen it unravel quickly during the brutal first 4 weeks of the schedule.

Another big concern is QB. It's hard to feel confident in ZW as the QB1 and I know coaches say there's an open competition, some of Arods comments at the start of that make me think it's really just a Dog and Phoney show and coaches plan to start Wilson again. I think the reasons he struggled to be consistent last year and kind of fell apart at times is a fundamental flaw in his game. He just doesn't handle pressure well and in those intense moments I think he shuts down mentally and reverts to kind of a Pop Warner/High School fight or flight mentality of trying to do it all himself because he was always the best athlete on the field growing up.

If ZW could learn one thing this off-season that would give me confidence in him it would be to realize when the going gets tough remember he has 10 other teammates on the field and we're better when he's not trying to do it all himself.
