I agree with a good portion of his points but don't agree on some conclusions or feel he missed on a few
1) I believe he played under 3 OC's, namely Doman, Anae, and Detmer. That didn't help his development in addition to the 4 season-ending injuries.

2) A good portion of his career he played behind lackluster offensive lines, so he rushed throws or gave up and scrambled rather than read progressions. Hurts had much better skill players around him in addition to offensive lines.

3) I didn't agree with his conclusion that he "lost" the battle for the 3rd string QB at GB. He had a fairly impressive pre-season for an UFA. They clearly stated they wanted him to clear waivers and were upset he was lost to the Saints. Packer fans lament that to this day, a couple of which I'm good friends with.

4) He has clearly shown to the Saints coaching staff that his throwing skills have progressed substantially. He didn't have a great preseason in 2018, but looked very improved in the 2019 preseason. Made some very nice throws.

5) His longest completion to Harris was slightly under thrown, as we all know. A couple yards further ahead would have been an easy touchdown. The more impressive were two consecutive plays that nobody mentions, which I can't remember the opponent (maybe Eagles?), but it went as follows: Play #1 deep throw to Taysom that Brees clearly under threw where TH was open that would have been a TD. Play #2, TH sprints back to the huddle after the deep pattern he ran and takes the snap as QB. He makes an absolutely perfect deep throw to Alvin Kamala that hits him in stride for the TD...maybe 60 yards? Problem is, there was a hold called on OLine that really wouldn't have affected Taysom ability to make the throw. Result, not an official completion, but showed he can complete a nice downfield throw. The crazy thing to me was he made that play IMMEDIATELY after running a deep pattern himself.

These were the first thoughts I had after reading the article.
