Anyone use Quikcrete before? 36" deep post hole 8-9" diameter.
Dump quikcrete in hole, add 1 gallon of water per bag. Does this work for that depth of hole?
I used quikcrete once for a mailbox but the hole wasn't that deep.
I'm putting in 5 fence posts and I'd love to not have to premix.

do you pour in part of bag, then water, then more mix, then water?

I've poured in part of the bag, some water, more of the bag and then more water

Youd get better hydration that way. Use a small piece of rebar to tamp it.

I’ve tried not pre-mixing and was burned by a crumble mess of not solid concrete

36 feet deep? That post will be sturdy!

Clay soil. Shifts a lot when rain hits

if the fence posts are the size of fully grown redwoods, your holes will be fine

How big are these fence posts that you need a 36 foot deep hole?

I'm assuming these are wood posts. If so, make sure the top of the concrete is

If I'm using Quikcrete, I don't even add water. I just dump the bag in the hole

I’ve used that process on 3 fences. Works great.

Ive mixed thousands of bags. Just throw it in a wheelbarrow and mix it first.
