When you say things publicly, sometimes there are public consequences.

Having a hurt reputation and people thinking you aren’t a nice guy when you exhibit a pattern of saying rude things publicly is not off base.

I can guarantee OP was not offended on behalf of MJs comments about Krause. But it may have shaped his perception of MJ. Which is fine. If you want to act like a jerk, people are fine to think you are a jerk.
