HS athletic associations are trying to stop it by penalizing kids who move back after their preferred season mid-year. “Full family move” or something like it that can appear as such is the key to avoiding any penalty when returning to your previous school.

I can see Arizona, Wyoming, and Idaho getting some great out of state athletes who just want to play!
