I kind of understand the dog hate but they are worth it.
I have been bit a couple times(barely drawing blood) and had a couple of kind of scary incidents with Pit Bulls. I understand how annoying that can be, but dogs just bring so much value to my life to give up.

Almost everyone I know has had their house broken into. My sister(Daybreak, Ut), sister(Holladay), In laws(Holladay), Brother(West Valley) and then I have my parents who are older, have nicer stuff than most people, and they have never had their house broken into. They have always had at least two bigger dogs. They live in South Salt Lake, Probably the sketchiest area of all my family.

I have dogs right now and even though they are only 20lbs, it brings me comfort that they are there. With children in the house I really don't want to be without a dog.

With all that being said, I wouldn't mind if Pit Bulls were illegal or needed a wild animal training license. I was walking in a empty parking lot back to my house coming back from maverick with a 64oz mt dew(don't judge me) and this guy apparently was letting his huge white pit bull run around and it saw me and it darted after me. I threw my drink at it and actually hit it which gave the owner time to run over and get the dog to stop. I think we have enough evidence that society can't handle pit bulls.
