They said they were a US seller, but it was really a Russian that got the $. Pretty high likelihood of a scammer. I hope my product arrives as-promised, but I'm feeling decidedly less confident as appearances are the seller was at least deceptive.

I realize I don't know the ins and outs of how PayPal, Ebay or my bank account can get hacked. I'm pretty confident few do. And I hope you're right that using PayPal to pay someone via Ebay is safe. But I figured I may as well change a few passwords and heighten security to be safer.
