Our neighbors had two Doberman's. One named Satan (really). There
was a chain-link fence between our houses. Our kids would play in the yard and the dogs would go crazy. Barking, trying to jump the fence, scary. I talked to the neighbor (who's name was Imbimbo, really) and he suggested our kids not play in the back yard.

After a while, the kids realized the dogs couldn't get over the fence and ignored them, or worse barked back at them. We then get a call from the neighbor telling us that our kids need to stop barking at the dogs. He was upset!

Then one day, when I was at work, Satan dug under the fence behind his house and got into our yard. The kids ran screaming into the house with the dog in hot pursuit. Satan followed the kids inside the house and chased them in the house until my wife threw a pound of hamburger into the garage and trapped Satan in the garage.

Needless to say, when Imbimbo figured out that one of his dogs was gone, he followed the barking to our garage and pounded on the door demanding the return of the dog we had apparently kidnapped. My wife had already called animal control and told him she would let them handle the situation.

Animal control comes, the dog has no shots and they are required to take the dog to the pound. Animal control so intimidated by the dog, they asked if she would allow Imbimbo to come thru the house to control the dog. And, my wife let him.

So, $200 of shots later, the dog is going to be released back to Imbimbo. This imbecile calls me quite upset and tells me that I owe him $200 for shots and that my wife is some sort of nut job for being so upset. Finally the threats started coming and we called the cops, they were not sympathetic but took a report, when we told the cops the name Imbimbo, they said, "we'll be right out". Seems they had a file on the guy and felt he was sneaky dangerous. They told us that if he threw so much as a piece of bread in our direction, they'd arrest him for assault.

As it turns out he wasn't paying him mortgage payment and had to move out about 60 days later. Thank heaven. It was bizarre. I don't get dog people.

My wife now has her own 9mm, and I taught her to load and shot the 12 gauge.
