Like you said, with Traeger, you’re paying for the name. Pit Boss is just as robust and I smoked the best brisket I have ever cooked the day I got it.

I suggest going to Lowe’s and looking at them. I got the Pro Series 820, I love that Pit Boss has a searing function, I’ve used it multiple times for flank steak and its amazing.

For the price Pit Boss is hard to beat. I also own a Traeger. I have nothing bad to say about Traeger, other than it’s overpriced.
