Disney is coming off looking very poor right now. And apparently very unprepared
Smoke from multiple sources saying they were caught off guard by the timing and manner of Universal Orlando’s reopening. They were possibly planning on opening in Orlando late August and with just one park at a time. Now that Universal is reopening all of their parks at once in early June, Disney is scrambling to come up with a new plan that won’t leave them falling behind their direct competition all Summer. They did a poor job reading the room this time.

Meanwhile, stockholders are unhappy at the cryptic and often nonexistent PR job Disney has given off these past few months. At this point, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Disney begin to lose some ground to more aggressive and transparent competitors.
