Is it brand new?
I’m basing the info I will give you on my use of a Traeger. If it’s brand new this info might not be as helpful.

I had an explosion of sorts on my Traeger that I now attribute to a grease fire. This fried my electrical as well my temperature probe. My Traeger will turn on but the temperature swings are very drastic.

Pellet grills are finicky if they aren’t cleaned regularly. I clean mine after any long cook, brisket, pork butt etc. other shorter cooks I clean every 3-5 cooks. The cleaning consists of removing the zzzxxz unsung degreaser and vacuuming out any loose pellets or pellet dust/residue. I always use my shop vac to clean out the hole where the pellets burn. Grease fires are very scary. This is another reason I tell anyone getting a pellet grill to keep it way from your house.

I don’t know if any of this has helped. If it’s brand new, take it back, you might have gotten a lemon.
