On Friday I was doing some work in the yard, including running some pipe underneath an existing sidewalk. That turned out to be quite a pain because there turned out to be a lot of obstructions, so it was several hours of digging and chipping and straining to work this pipe through. Towards the end, my right forearm/wrist started to hurt. By the end of the day, it was hurting really bad, and it hasn't got any better now 4 days later.
The pain is on the top of my forearm a few inches up from where my wrist bends. Its tied to my hand moving- if I don't move my hand, it doesn't hurt. When I feel that part of my arm with my left hand, I feel a lot of crinkles and popping when I move my right hand around. I can move my fingers around without any pain. I've had this pain before a few times in the past, usually tied to some heavy manual labor or weight lifting, but never this bad and it always went away.
For now, I'm just wearing a brace to immobilize my hand hoping that it gets better. I took some ibuprofen and iced it when it was really hurting bad, and that seemed to help. I doubt a doctor is going to be able to do much more than that.
I would go to WebMD to check for symptoms, but I don't feel like learning that I have cancer today.
