Actually, he's a JC graduate. Though Johnson could be counted as a JC transfer

technically cuz he came after just one year as someone who always qualified academically. Even still, guys like that usually aren't considered "transfers" in the same sense as a D1 transfer. For one, there isn't any consequences for transferring across levels like that. Eligibility is guaranteed as long as the academic boxes are crossed.
