I hear “Get in the left lane NOW, the turn is only half a mile away!”
“Why do you always wait until the last second to move into the turn lane? Don’t you know that gives me anxiety?”
That’s how I interpret it when my wife is the navigator. And it’s the same even if we are several miles from the turn.
