Not necessarily, but waiting longer is less likely if BYU is the choice.
I was expecting him to narrow it down to three schools. Now, he quickly narrows it from 7 to 1. The timing is suggestive in my opinion.
On the other hand, I really want him to come to BYU and I am looking for anything that suggests that that may be the choice😏
