This chart is tricky but really interesting. It makes sense to me that people over 75 would have more wealth today than
people over 75 did in 1989 (more invested in the stock market).

It also makes sense that younger generations are worse off (carrying much more debt).

What doesn’t make sense is why the 55-64 crowd is about the same today as the 55-64 crowd back in 1989. Also the Big gap between them and the 65-74 crowd.
