People are fascinating. I started a greenhouse business this year and I've been
fascinated by the complaints some customers express to us. We had a customer bring back a pot of flowers she had purchased from us the previous week because they didn't "look good" and she didn't know why. She wanted to exchange the pot for another one. We made the exchange just to keep her happy but it was painfully obvious that the pot of flowers had not been watered from the time she bought it from us. In fact as she was leaving with her new pot she asked us how often she should be watering her new pot.

Had another customer come back today because she purchased some flowers over a month ago, that she planted in flower beds and now she's irate, and "very disappointed", because they are not blossoming like she expects them too. She took her frustrations out on my employee apparently. She's a groundskeeper so she "knows" she's doing everything correctly but now she wants us to fix the problem. There could be a dozen reasons why the flowers are not blossoming like she wants, all of which are out of our control as a grower.

I don't know if it has always been this way or if there's a shift in all levels of society to not accept responsibility that just maybe their actions are the problem instead of trying to find blame somewhere else.
