more upside. He's only 6'2", though supposedly has a 6'6" wingspan, which would help compensate.
He played in a very small conference, and didn't exactly light it up. I just watched a 20 point game of his, and most of his points came on wide open 3s. Some of his either highlights were a little more well rounded, but nothing that jumps off the page either.
Not a vertical player, though he does seem to have a fairly quick first step when he wants to get in the lane. Uses some hesitation with his dribble and seems to be a decent finisher. I didn't see any impressive assists, most were frankly just simple passes on the perimeter and the guy just happened to make a shot with a hand in his face. Shot form looks okay, albeit a little low of a release.
He's a smaller player with just okay athleticism who went through a prep system in high school, so I'm not sure what untapped potential is in there. I think he could have a Jashire Hardnette type role at BYU, but I'm not sure that's worth a scholarship at this point. I'd rather have Gach or wait for someone else to come along, unless the coaches have reason to believe Williamson can be something more.
