Absolutely for "most". In terms of building and sustaining a MLB franchise, the
minor leagues are extremely bloated. The 30 MLB teams don't need 160 minor league teams. I've thought 90 would be a better number... three for each team. I've also thought that (a) college baseball would benefit from keeping more talent and longer and (b) the great majority of players would benefit from getting a full education before going pro.

On the other hand, there is something pretty cool about going to a minor league game in a small town like Idaho Falls and having a full stadium. A lot of small-town minor league teams do pretty well financially.
