I've done some pretty amazing ribs in an oven, and brisket on gas grill.
I'm not going to disparage anybody who "smokes" food with a Traeger or the like. Heck, I will probably get a Traeger for Father's Day.
But you can achieve very, very similar results using a regular gas grill or oven.
