Honest answer: familiarity tends to favor competitiveness
I think both programs are intimately familiar with one another on so many levels, the games tend to be closer than not. But some of those close score games haven’t been as competitive on the field as the final score indicates (2017 & 2019). Others were legitimately close games (2016 & 2018)!
