New Media has been telling people to be scared for months ... hype up "You are GONNA DIE!!" ...

All that pent up emotion HAS to get released somewhere somehow ...

SMART leadership of this situation would have released that pent up energy along the way ... rather than try to bottle up all that emotion indefinitely ...

Regional shut downs only when your region actually showed bad numbers, local relief options to let people out and about, a lot more positive reporting (report that 99.8% of you are going to be just fine! rather than You are ALL GONNA DIE), etc etc etc

Those kinds of moderated and measured approaches would have meant much less economic carnage across the country, much less anxiety and pent up anger and fear ... AND probably many fewer riots and acts of senseless violence.
