A friend's dad used to give his kids Dopamine before driving to CA.
He said, "We don't want anyone to get motion sick."
My friend said it wasn't until years later that he realized not one kid ever got motion sick under any circumstances and it was just his dad's way of zonking them all out for several hours so he could drive without all the bickering.
