a lot depends on Zach Wilson bouncing back...
...last year was a down year for him and there have been a lot of reasons for it articulated on CB. Coaches have said there’s an open competition for the QB1 position but then nearly everything we’ve read from coaches and media makes it seem like it’s really just a dog and phoney show and that ZW is the presumptive starter.

If its true that ZW will be the QB1 again then you could say the same thing for him that the article says for Kalani. This year there’s no more excuses for Wilson. If he really is the QB with the highest upside and the real deal, then he needs to play like it and lead the offense like it.

No more throwing TD passes to Ute DB’s and LB’s. ZW needs a significant reduction of drives stalling in the red zone and having to settle on FG’s. Learn to handle the pass rush better, stop holding the ball so long and learn to get rid of it on time. Be willing to make the easy play and then trust in his play makers to do their part. Stop calling his own number so much in the RPO and better use his teammates. He needs to significantly up the IQ part of his game and start playing less reactive and more deliberate.

A lot rides on this for Kalani and for other coaches who would lose their jobs if KS gets fired.
