You'll be fine. What happens to most of us is we get better and better at fly fishing and start to catch more and more
fish. It's obvious to us that something is working, but improved skill isn't the easiest to recognize in ourselves so we apply it to the simplest obvious difference... like flies. You watch your newbie friends and they will suddenly find their "go-to" flies right when they're getting really good at fishing.
For me this is the PMX and the SOS
