It’s interesting that baseball doesn’t have a clear-cut top pitcher of all-time, or even a clear top 2 or 3
In basketball, it’s MJ vs LeBron - with a few votes for Kareem or Wilt.

Football has Brady vs Montana - with a few votes for Manning or Elway.

In soccer, it’s Messi, Ronaldo, Pele.

For hitters, it’s Babe vs Bonds.

But for pitchers there’s not a clear hierarchy between Cy, Walter J, Mathewson, Gibson, Ryan, Clemens, Maddux, Pedro, Randy, Koufax, Keyshawn, Verlander, etc.

Maybe Clemens edges out those guys due to longevity? But the first list I looked at had him at #8, with Mathewson #1 (who I didn’t even list initially).
