Depends on how formal the company is. Rule of thumb is to go one step up
in terms of formality for an interview.

Most places are fairly casual these days so I typically do slacks, button down and jacket, no tie. If you aren't sure how formal they are then I think a suit and tie is your safest bet. Nobody is going to ding you for being too professional looking.
