Jay got labeled as a bad guy when he worked for the Tribune. Their culture was to create negative energy around BYU and there is little doubt that Jay had to tow that line. But ever since he joined the Desert News his stories are more objective and positive. He is the best print sports journalist amongst his peers in my opinion. Don't hate Jay, embrace him as his work continues to develop and improve.
