The Omega Speedmaster Pro is the only watch NASA will allow on spacewalks (EVA). It was the only watch that survived NASA's testing for the Gemini and Apollo programs... It actually helped save Apollo 13.
People will spend $$$ on emergency survival food/gear/guns... but forget that a good automatic watch can run 100's of years without a battery.
