A good example is how a guy like Brandon Graham is rated so highly. If you look at more obvious stats for a DE like sack totals but don't watch games or inspect his play closely, you can miss how effective he is. He's a major disrupter although he doesn't have high sack numbers. He sets up other guys to get sacks or forces a QB to be uncomfortable at a high rate and he's a very sure tackler.
I've argued about the worthiness of his big contract in other forums with guys who are so buried in sack totals, which are few for anyone, that they miss the impact a guy can have on a play aside from that.
