At 7, my older brother and I started selling popsicles and treats
on base to Soldiers. We lived in Germany and had easy access to base. We would put G.I. Joes on lay-away and go sale stuff until we could pay for them. It was great and we made a lot of money for little kids in the 80's. It was a different time and we had unit leadership tell their Soldiers to buy from us, my Dad caught a lot of flak at work for it.
