I was born in 1966 first year for gen x was 1965...
my first kid was born in 1992, final year for millennials was 1996 so I have 3 kids in the millennial age group. I'm the older end of the GenXers and they're the younger end of the millennials. My youngest (born in 2000) would be Gen Y I guess. None of my kids really fit the millennial stereotype, and I don't think the majority of their friends do either. They're all pretty normal kids who just try to make good lives for themselves. I assume that the majority of millennials are like them.

Dumb boomers get Gen Z and Millennials mistaken which is generally the cause. They don't realize that Millennials today

No, I think it is pretty evident that the parents of Millennials are generally Boomers but maybe early GenXers.
