Road base or 1" minus gravel for rv pad?
I'm putting a concrete pad on the side of my house. I want to put a few inches of some kind of base before I pour. My local place has roadbase $5 cheaper than gravel. Can I use that? Or should I stick with gravel?

I believe gravel is cleaner/less muddy

Road base is better. It compacts really well.

Gravel doesn't compact.

The trick is to have well-graded base. That means different sized rocks/gravel.
