If you can make it to Katmai, it is well worth it. Probably too late in the year for the bears at Brooks Falls but we visited Hallo Bay (have to fly there) in late August a few years ago and it was the highlight of our trip. Multiple bears, wolf, red fox, etc. Denali was nice too but Katmai was unforgettable. Kenai Fjord glaciers were also cool to see.
