The "how come" thing has always seemed weird to me.

I usually come by foot or car and I could even give some wilder answers in FO, but I know that's not what the phrase means.

"Why" is a perfectly good monosyllabic word, but we've needlessly replaced it with two words in a literally nonsensical way.

How come?
