I once gave an employer 6 weeks but they

refused to believe I was actually leaving. Two days before my final day they asked me again if I was really leaving because they had not hired my replacement. They asked me to stay on another month so they would have time to hire a new person and have me do the training. I had taken on so many additional job duties without any raises so it was easy to just politely decline.
