As streaming services continue to add content to attract more subscribers, they
will also raise prices to cover the added costs of that content.
Thankfully, though, there isn't a monopoly on streaming services and competition should keep prices reasonable, and if there is a market for scaled-down services at a smaller price there will certainly be a service to fulfill that.

Not surprising. Competition reduced (PS Vue), increased offerings, $50 likely a teaser rate to begin with.
