Here are a few I often recommend:
1. Parenting from the Inside Out (Excellent book on the science of parenting and brain development. The author is a well-known neuro-scientist)

2. Raising an Emotionally Intelligent Child (This is a great book on how to help kids understand their emotions and written by a prominent researcher)

3. The Parenting Breakthrough (This is a great book to teach your kids how to work and learn independence)

4. Raising a Secure Child (great book on how to love and nurture inner confidence in your child and it’s from an attachment perspective)

5. 1-2-3 Magic (This is great book to help with a resistant child. Very quick read that really helped me with my son when he was 3 and very difficult)

6. The Whole-Brain Child (Another great book on brain development and raising mentally and emotionally healthy children. Very research-based.)

7. The Talk (this is a great book for teaching kids about sex and morals. It’s one of the text books I use for my human sexuality course I teach. It’s by Dr. Sharon Maxwell. I tell you the author to help you find it online.)
