Since repatriating I often convert to metric units, do a calculation, then convert back for other people.

Well they actually used both. The computers were in metric and they converted

I always think in kilometers and liters. But also pounds and inches.

Oil and gas unfortunately still uses imperial units, unlikely to ever change.

We use the metric system. Just in tandem with the Imperial system.
