about this yesterday. In my program of 25 people, 7 are active LDS and 2 more have LDS roots. The locals learned about all their Mormon peers and just assumed we were polygamists. Its pretty interesting how much damage the Warren Jeffs/ Colorado City fiasco and the Sister Wives series has done for peoples perception of Mormons. Almost everybody I have spoken with thinks Sister Wives represents Mormonism and Utah in general. People are shocked, and honestly have a hard time even believing me when I tell them me and the Mormon church havent practiced polygamy for 130 years.
