That could effectively tank the excitement for this season. That’s a third of the schedule. But maybe can set us up for double-digit wins if G5 schools don’t follow suit. If they all follow suit... there’s no enough independent teams for a full schedule. And I doubt Liberty and UMass have the funds to fly their teams across the country right now.

If this were to happen, does BYU just call the season... or try to get a deal to be a +1 in a conference? Mountain West wouldn’t do it. Maybe AAC? It’s a legitimate scenario right now. BYU Football could be left without teams on the schedule this year. Hopefully they have a contingency plan for that.
