I don’t know that many employers care...

I believe that most employers care about 2 things:

Can you solve problems?
Can you work with others? (i.e. interpersonal skills)

In my opinion, those are the best 2 things most people learn that don’t study a STEM degree. You would be shocked how many successful people have Liberal Arts degrees.
